About Us 
Energya Cables, a division of Energya Industries, is a division under which is a group of companies operating in Africa and Asia in more than 12 countries. Energya Cables division is specialized in producing a wide range of Power Cables, low, medium, high, and extra high voltage cables, Telecom Cables, copper and fiber optic, and a wide range of Specialty Cables.

The first company, Energya Specialty Cables, formerly known as Swedex Cables ElSewedy, based in the city of 10th of Ramadan, Cairo, has been established in 1993 as a Siemens Joint Venture with the objective to produce a complete range of telecom and specialty cables to cater for the growing demand of the local Egyptian market as well as other regional markets. In its short span of 15 years, Energya Specialty Cables has achieved a steady growth in its operations and earned a reputation for itself as “THE” quality manufacturer of telecom and specialty cables in Egypt. Its range of products is a rich and diversified range. It includes:

 Copper Telecom Cables:


    • Underground Jelly Filled Cables. (Armored / Unarmored);
    • Aerial Self supported Cables;
    • Conductor diameters 0.4 to 0.9 mm;
    • Pairs: 10 to 2400.


Optical Fiber Cables:

Quality Standards:

The company maintains a Quality Assurance System in cooperation with TUV/CERT. The ISO 9001, 2005 certificate has been granted to Energya Specialty Cables in October 1995. Energya Specialty Cables achieved its migration to ISO 9001: 2000 in December 2002.

Presence:

The company has succeeded to penetrate the following International markets:
    • GCC:  UAE, Qatar, and Bahrain;
    • M. East: Jordan and Yemen;
    • Europe:  Poland;
    • Others:  Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ethiopia, and Algeria.

The second company, Giza Cables ElSewedy, was established in 1984 and started production in 1985. With more than 23 years of experience in the power cables market, Giza Cables ElSewedy has a diversified range of high quality power cables.


As a company of Energya Cables division, Giza Cables Company is considered one of the largest manufacturers of power cables in Egypt since 1985. Its range of products is very wide and includes low, medium and high voltage cables with copper and aluminum conductors, PVC, PE and XLPE insulated , steel tape or steel wire armored, PVC or PE sheathed. And because the company believes in the continuous enhancement of its products range, which is one of our strategic goals, it recently produce submarine cables and extra high voltage cables up to 220 KV with a lead layer that provides high level of protection to the cable.

Quality Standards:

Maintain the highest quality control standards of the raw materials used in production in addition to quality control during production processes. This enables us to meet the strictest standards. This is achieved through tests performed in the following laboratories:
   • Material laboratory;
   • L.V. laboratory;
   • H.V. laboratory.

Our products meet standards of lEG, VDE, BSI, NEMA, and AEIC. 

The company is ISO certified 9001:2000

Presence: 

The company has succeeded to penetrate the following International markets such as Algeria, Palestine, KSA, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, and Romania.
